How to Choose the Right Online Course in Pakistan

These days, many people start teaching online not because they’re experts, but because freelancing or job opportunities didn’t work out for them. They learned a skill and quickly started teaching it, without enough real-world experience.
That’s why you should always ask a few important questions before enrolling in any course in Pakistan.
1. What has the instructor achieved?
The very first question you should think about is, did they just learn something and immediately start teaching it? Or do they have years of hands-on experience with real clients or projects?
Check their Fiverr or Upwork profiles, LinkedIn, or other professional platforms. Do they have success stories? Real clients? Real earnings?
It’s very common to find instructors teaching skills like copywriting or freelancing on Upwork, but when you check their own Upwork profile, there’s no solid proof of their experience or success.
I know the instructor who teaches copywriting and Upwork, but his own Upwork profile doesn’t support his claims. He also charges much more than the average course, which is a red flag.
If someone is teaching:
- Copywriting – check their copy. Does it feel convincing? Does it follow the rules of good copy?
- Freelancing – do they have a strong freelancing profile? Any proof of successful projects?
- Shopify or Ecommerce – do they run a real online store themselves?
2. What do their students say?
The second important thing is; always look for student feedback or reviews. Are existing and past students actually getting results after taking the course?
Pro Tip
Also check if the instructor has a YouTube channel, or if their lectures/speeches are available on YouTube.
Watch few videos, are they useful? Do they match your learning style?
This can really help you decide whether the course is right for you.
3. Be careful about very expensive courses
Think twice if the course is overly expensive, anything above 70K.
Most premium courses, even those created with professional experience, are usually priced around 50K ±10K. For example,
If a beginner-level instructor is charging more than experienced professionals, it’s worth asking why.
4. Be Cautious with These Niches
Some course topics have a very low success rate, especially for beginners. These include:
- Crypto
- Dropshipping
- Amazon or eBay store
Some data suggests that only 3% of people actually succeed in these areas, and many courses overpromise results.
Online learning is a powerful tool, but only if you choose the right course and instructor. Don’t fall for big promises. Do your research. Ask questions. And make sure your investment is worth it.
Pakistan has many good course creators, you just need to find the genuine ones.
